4 Reasons Why You NEED To Create Video Content For Your Business
I look terrible on video. I sound terrible on video. It takes too much time.
Are these some of the reasons holding you back from creating video content for your business?
Well it’s time to take a cold hard look at your business and decide if you are ready to take your business to the next level because video content is here, and it’s here to stay!
Here are 4 reasons why video content needs to become a part of your marketing plan.
1. In 2015, video will officially pull ahead of all social media platforms when it comes to the average amount of time per day a person spends interacting with it.
This means people are spending more time each day watching video on the internet then checking Twitter, Instagram and Facebook! Could you tap into your customer’s video consuming time?
2. According to Cisco (the worldwide leader in IT), by 2017 video will account for 69% of all consumer Internet traffic!
People are getting online just to watch video. This has pushed big brands like Coca-Cola, Disney, BMW and McDonalds to have a presence on YouTube featuring original video content!
3. According to YouTube Statistics, there are a billion YouTube users! This is almost one-third of all people on the Internet. Also, the number of hours people spend watching videos on YouTube is up 60% from 2014! This is YouTube’s biggest growth in 2 years.
4. Video allows you to create a genuine emotional connection between the viewer and your brand, which is great for building brand identity and creating brand loyalty.
Just think, would your customer be more willing to buy jewelry from you if they had a behind the scenes video of how you made it? Or maybe you can show your customers how to make a recipe from your e-cookbook. Allowing customers to see you and letting them get to know you makes it more comfortable for them to buy your product. And more likely to come back and buy more from you!
A great way to add video content to your strategy is to create a YouTube channel. YouTube is the second biggest search engine behind Google! You can also embed your YouTube videos to your blog or website. And if you don’t have video editing software, YouTube has one to use for free!
So how do you even get started with video content? First decide which platform you want to focus on. There are so many options out there right now it can get overwhelming and stress you out in no time!
