How to Get Your First 10000 Subscribers on YouTube
If you're watching this, you're probably wondering how to grow on YouTube. Maybe you're trying to figure out how to get 10000 subscribers or even how to grow your channel fast. Lucky for you, there's no magic bullet or even viral trend required to make this happen!
In this video, I'm going to show you how to get 10k on YouTube by also showing you how to grow a YouTube channel. I'm breaking it down step by step so you can add grow a YouTube channel in 2021 to your list of accomplishments. Let's do this!
Know Your Niche.
I know, I know. You're probably tired of hearing that you need to niche down. But this is one of those things that is so important. YouTube is constantly trying to put you in the right category to show viewers. That means they need to know what kind of content people can expect from you so that they can get your videos in front of the right eyes. This is a big part of growth.
But the other part of this is that your viewers are coming to you for a reason. By bouncing from niche to niche or topic to topic, you confuse them. That, in turn, confuses the algorithm.
Level Up.
Want to know who you should be competing with? Yourself. This means you need to make friends with your YouTube analytics. Specifically your audience retention graphs. By looking into these graphs, you’re going to be able to see what’s working for your audience and what’s really not.
Once you see that, you need to be working to improve your content. Now this doesn’t always mean your video equipment. It can, but it doesn’t have to. And if you’re going that route, I always say looking into lighting and microphones first. But really, you can do this by creating more visual interest. Try filming from different angles, including more b roll.

Consistency.
You don’t have to post on YouTube every day. But you should be posting consistently. I recommend posting once a week and this is very doable. Especially if you’re able to batch film your videos. Posting once a week signals to YouTube that you’re updating and it helps create trust in your audience.
Self Promote.
Want to know a huge mistake that I see? Not promoting your content. Somewhere along the way, we stopped showing off our hard work. We create a video and then we run. This won’t help you grow. Instead, you need to shout from the rooftops when you have a new video up.
Now we have a full promotion schedule here that we use so one video ends up being used 12+ times on social media. You absolutely should be doing the same!
Playlists and Series.
The goal is to create bingeable content. One of the easiest ways to do that is to create series of content. Not only does this make it easy to binge but it also makes it to create content. You can create topics that play off of one another and leave your audience excited and wanting more.
So your action step here is to start thinking about playlists or series that you can create.
Now all of this is important, but there is one thing that really tops it all. And that’s your YouTube Trifecta. Click here to see what the trifecta is all about.
